Samsung's previous series of smartwatches weren't that much of a hit on the market and got immensely strong competition from the Motorola 360, Apple and Pebble. Despite of having a lineup of variety of watches in the market they missed a watch with Circular Display which is feast for classic watch lovers, however with there new S2 lineup them seem to fulfill these aesthetic needs.

Specifications-

The new series of Gear S2 comes in two varieties The Gear S2 and The Gear S2 Classic the S2 is generally based on a modern and minimalistic design and The S2 Classic offers a more sophisticated design with premium leather and black finish.

Coming to user interaction the watch consists of a rotating bezel used to zoom and scroll which is exclusive and can be a huge selling point as most of the other watches lack it and would surely attract many classy people out there. On the side the watch has a home and a back button.

The watch is 11.4 mm thick and has a 1.2 inch Super AMOLED panel display panel with a resolution of 360x360 which outputs to 302 ppi ( pixel per inch) display, which on paper is absolutely pretty high in quality and would surely provide amazing clarity and great viewing angles.

Based on Tizen OS the watch is powered by a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor, 512 Mb Ram and 4Gb of internet memory which according to me is more then you need to function the little device.

Normal watched are rugged and can go through different catastrophic situations. Despite being a smartwatch the Gear S2 isn't subtle and is IP68 certified for resistance against water dust. So being least worried about the watch you can take a shower, go to swimming pool or take a desert ride with it.

The watch is powered by a 250 Mah Li-ion Battery which according to Samsung lasts about 2-3 days on normal usage and features wireless charging out of the box.

The 3g version of the smartwatch features an E-sim which is specifically an electronic sim instead of a physical one. Click Here to read more about E-Sim, the 3g version also features a 300Mah better battery for handling the network service.

NFC is the next big thing according to Samsung which would provide the watch to enable mobile payments without the need for a wallet and as Samsung boasted "Samsung is working with a wide selection of partners across different industries to expand the usability of wearables and streamline consumers’ mobile lives in a variety of ways, including smart car keys, residential room keys, and remote controls to manage a connected home."

As the sensors go looks Samsung has filled it up all available in there factory which consist of an accelerometer, gyroscope, a heart rate sensor a barometer and an ambient light sensor.

Finals Words-

As we don't have the watch in our hands we cant say much about it. But it is pretty much clear from the on paper specs sheet that the watch comes with a classic new circular design, premium leather finish, 3G connectivity and Esim which are exclusive and pretty attractive features. The Tizen operating system has some disadvantages like no access to the application library or functionality that comes with Android Wear. However Samsung have been doing there best to keep up with it .
