Polaroid Snap Uses Ink-Free Zink Technology To Instantly Print Photos

Polaroid recently launched there Polaroid Snap at IFA 2015 in Germany. Polaroid snap is a lightweight, portable, toy like, pocket size camera which uses modern technology to instantly print wallet size photographs after an image is taken without using any kind of ink.

The Polaroid Snap uses a 10 Megapixel lens, and utilizes the Zero Ink printing technology developed by a company called ZINK, the technology is hassle free and does not uses  ribbons, ink or toner. Instead it utilizes a special kind of printing paper which contains cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals under a protective polymer coating which are activated by the ZINK printer inside the camera to create a colorful image. The camera prints 2x3 inches photos which are also popularly called wallet size photos.

There camera features variety of modes color mode, black and white mode, retro throwback, vintage Polaroid. It also features a photo booth mode which lets you take six photos in 10 seconds. It also has a camera timer mode if you are fond of taking selfies. However the camera lacks features such as a screen, and a zoom lens but the affordable deal for 99 US $ neglects all those.

The camera is pretty attractive and toy like which is one of its different qualities. It is available in four popping colors - red, blue, black and white and has a red shutter button on the top. For charging  and transferring files it includes a micro USB slot on the left side. And it has a micro Sd slot expandable up to 32Gb, for storing photos however it lacks internal storage.

As the camera works without ink it leaves all the input material on the paper that you are using. The Zink paper might cost expensive on your pocket, as a pack of 50 2x3 inch Zink papers cost 24.99 US $ on Amazon. Polaroid have also released instant camera's in the past like the Z2300, but they where mostly bulky and expensive and didn't look attractive enough like the Polaroid Snap.
