Asus Maximus VII Extreme motherboard
The motherboard is built on the ATX platform(almost E-ATX wide) and uses the new orange black color scheme as in the new Asus GTX 980TI Matrix Platinum GPU instead of the old red and black color scheme.

The Asus Maximus VII features a 16-phase VRM and draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, and 4-pin ATX power connectors. It also supports the latest DDR4 memory and features four DDR4 DIMM memory sockets. In terms of expansion slot the motherboard includes four PCI-Express 3.0X16 slots of which three are wired to the CPU and one to the PCH(Platform Control Hub).Storage connectivity includes an SFF-8639 U.2 32 Gb/s connector, an M.2 32 Gb/s slot, two SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, and eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Networking includes 802.11 ac WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, and gigabit Ethernet (all Intel controllers).

Being a premium product the lacks nowhere in terms of leisure and features the new SupremeFX onboard audio solution which borrows a lot of tech from ASUS' discrete sound cards, and comes with an 5.25-inch front-panel bay with rotary controls, and front-panel jacks. The card several overclocking features for Gamers and Enthusiasts like dual-bios.
