The motherboard is built on the ATX platform(almost E-ATX wide) and uses the new orange black color scheme as in the new Asus GTX 980TI Matrix Platinum GPU instead of the old red and black color scheme.
The Asus Maximus VII features a 16-phase VRM and draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, and 4-pin ATX power connectors. It also supports the latest DDR4 memory and features four DDR4 DIMM memory sockets.
