Google Nexus 8 Design Material And Screen Size Details Leaked

Everyone was busy discussing about the next Nexus smartphone device and its rumored features and no one did bat an eye on the tablet line up as if they didn't even exist. However a few days ago benchmarks of the new tablet device from Google popped up revealing hardware specifications of the device and it went viral. The specification revealed that it was running on a 1.7Ghz octa core processor whose producer isn't currently know. The last gen of the Nexus tablet was based on Tegra K1 chipset and was mostly focused on Gamers, however there seems to have been a change in market strategy from Google as this next generation of tablet would focus more widely on mainstream and general media.

We recently got our hands on the Nexus 8 dummy which looks pretty much different from the previous versions. As you can see in the photo we placed the device next to a ruler so that you all can be aware of the dimensional aspects of the device. In terms of height and screen size the device looks similar and on par with the Nexus 9 and the height of the device stands to about 200mm.

The device seems to have a aspect ratio of 4:3 which gives it a squarish look. Nexus 8 features a metal frame and the test dummy came with a red and black aesthetic design which gives the device a modern feel in a classic engraving.  The side of the device also feature grilled speakers which look fantastic.
