The price of the GPU has currently been taken down by 20$ to make it competitive for Amd R7 360 GPU's and make space for the Gtx 950 GPU which is going to launch on the 17th of August and we leaked it specs and release date few days before you can read more about it here.
The price cuts have already taken place in some version of the GPU from Msi and Zotac which brings the prize down to 199$ and make it amazingly competitive for the entry level R7 360 and make it an amazing deal.
We already predicted that there would be prize cut when we leaked the information about Gtx 950 which also will be one of the last Maxwell architecture cards from Nvidia as Nvidia is shifting towards HBM2 powered Pascal cards which support over 1 TB/s bandwidth and up to 32 GB of VRAM which will make these cards ideal for next generation 4k and high-res and VR gaming.
The Gtx 950 will also be an awesome low-mid tier gaming gpu if you want to game at a decent FPS at medium setting at 1080p and would be available at an affordable prize of 150$
