Recently Samsung was found guilty of disabling Windows Security updates in there devices which could leave them insecure and is really a bad news for there consumers.
According to the technical expert of Microsoft Patrick Barker, Samsung had been using a file called Disable_Windowsupdate.exe in there hardware devices which was being used for disabling windows security updates which he found out while helping a fellow user with his hardware problems.
In response to this Samsung said that any such thing does not exists according to them. Its according to the user's need to enable or disable an update and they don't have any hand in disabling them. They said that "It isn't true that we are blocking any system or security updates in any of our hardware devices" they also added that " As part of our commitment to consumer satisfaction, we are providing our users with the option to choose if and when they want to update the Windows software on their products".
According to the Samsung there software also knows as the SW update is being used which prevents Windows from downloading updates automatically and forcing users to choose to between Automatically or manually download updates.
In reply to this from Mr.Barker said that the application came didn't came pre-installed and was downloaded in the background and is being used to disable Windows update in purpose.
He also said that if Windows update was turned on manually by the user it was disabled by the software itself when the machine was rebooted which could thus put you device in high security risks.
