According to Benchlife , Nvidia is set to launch there new Pascal architecture based GPU on May of 2016. The GPU will feature the GP 104 core and 8GB of GDDR5X memory. This would be the first 16nm FinFET based product launched by Nvidia. However the GPU wont be featuring the most anticipated HBM2 memory, which is rumored to launch later this year with the GP 100 core.
Specifications-
The GP 104 core based GTX 1080 will be featuring a 256 bit memory controller. Instead of GDDR5 the GPU will be using GDDR5X, which in theory provides double the graphic memory bandwidth of GDDR5.
The Gpu would also feature a DVI, HDMI and two display ports and will be powered by a 8pin power connector, with a max power consumption of 225 watt.
