HTC Desire 728G Full Specification And Price

It has been a tough time for HTC, the M9 didn't perform in the market as it was expected to mostly due to the thermal throttling and under clocking issues of the Snapdragon 810 Soc. The company have been struggling in there marketing strategies and there are speculations of HTC to be acquired by One Plus. However keeping all these things aside HTC recently launched there mid-range Smartphone HTC Desire 728 G at IFA 2015.

Specification-

The Desire 728 G comes with a big and attractive 5.5 inch, 1280 x 720p Super LCD 2 screen. Which is powered by the MediaTek MT6753 chipset which features an Octa core Cortex A53  processors clocked at 1.3Ghz and the Mali T720 GPU. It also features 1.5GB of DDR3 RAM to support the CPU and GPU.

The smartphone will be shipped running on Android 5.1 and latest version of Sense UI 7. It has an Internal Rom(Read only memory) of 8Gb which sounds fairly a bit less for us as the the android system would itself consume 2-3 Gb of memory and the remaining which would be available to the user is fairly less. However HTC has provided a micro SD card slot for expandable storage.

The camera seems to be one of the outscoring features of the phone, on the rear it features a 13 Megapixel BSI Auto focus lens with a F 2.2/27mm aperture and the front features a 5 Megapixel BSI fixes focus lens with a F 2.8/33.7mm apreture.

As most of the Desire series phones, the 728 G features a plastic chassis with bezels at the top and bottom where the Boom sounds speakers are embedded. However the bezels at the sides are rarely visible. The sides of the phone has a vibrant shade which gives a simplistic and standard look to the phone. The phone is powered a 2800 Mah battery which seems enough to power up the phone though out the day.

It is a bit of a disappointment to us mostly due to the low-mid end Processor and GPU of the phone accompanied by its low internal memory. The phone is for casual users who don't game a lot and are more interesting in taking selfies and photos, listening to music and want a simple looking phone which can run through out the day with the latest Sense UI and features from HTC. The phone is suspected to launch in October with a price tag of around 300 US $.
