Asus RT-AC5300 Specification Revealed Claims Worlds Fastest Wifi

Asus recently revealed there new Wifi router at IFA namely RT-AC5300 and strongly claim it to be the worlds fastest router. Looking at the design of the router seems like Asus has put some strong commitment in manufacturing the device as it seems alien and out of the world.

Asus RT-AC5300

Specification-

The RT-AC5300 is a Tri-band router. Out of the three bands a single band operates at 2.4 GHz frequency and the remaining two operate at 5Ghz frequency. The 2.4Ghz band has a max Wifi speed of 1,000 Mbps while the remaining two at 5Ghz have a max Wifi speed of 2,167Mbps which accounts to a total bandwith speed of 5,300Mbps. The real world speed however would depend on the receiver device you are using and the obstructions in the path.

The router also comes with the maximum number of 8 detachable dual band Antennas ever featured in a router and also features two USB ports one being a USB 2.0 port while the other one is a USB 2.0 port, which can be used for hosting an printer or an external Harddrive. The USB ports can also be used for sharing network connection through your Internet dongles. The router also consists of four Gigabit LAN ports and a Wan port. It also comes with Asus AiProtection service to protect your Wifi connections from online threat.

The router for sure looks bad ass and even you if you dont need such high speed it can be used as tech show piece to jealous up your geeky friends. The release date and price of the device is currently not know, however the price is estimated around US 400$.
