Nvidia GTX 950 Specification and Launch Date Leaked

After the launch of the successful 900 series GPU's, we always have been expecting a low-mid end budget gaming GPU from Nvidia. The information leaked from Hwbattle confirms that Nvidia is going to release it new low-mid end budget tier gaming GPU on 17th of August and would be priced around 150 US dollars.  There was also a recent price cut in GTX 750ti prices you can read it more about it here.

The GTX 950 would be based on the Maxwell architecture featuring a GM206 GPU (GM206-250-A1) that contains six SMM units which house 768 CUDA Cores, 48 texture mapping units and will retain the 32 ROPs. The Gpu will be clocked at 1150MHz to 1250MHz base clock and 1350MHz up to 1450MHz boost clock depend upon the vendor specific variant. The card would have 2GB of DDR5 memory that operates along a 128-bit bus, running at a frequency of 6.6 to 6.75 GHz producing a maximum bandwidth of 107.68 GB/s. The card would work on a TDP of 90 watts which i much less in comparison to AMD's offering in the price range. It would feature Dual-Link DVI-D/DVI-I, HDMI 2.0 and a Display Port 1.2 connector as video outputs.

The GTX 960 would be replacing the old GTX 750 and 750TI from Nvidia and would compete against the R7 360 and the R7 370 GPU's from Amd thus continuing the successful legacy of the 900 series GPU's in the low-mid budget segment, which was lacking a new 900 series GPU.

GTX 950 would be one of the last GPU's from Nvidia which would be featuring the Maxwell architecture as Nvidia is shifting towards HBM2 powered Pascal cards which support over 1 TB/s bandwidth and up to 32 GB of VRAM which will make these cards ideal for next generation 4k and high-res and VR gaming.
