Most people in developing countries like India, Pakistan suffer from bad web experience due to slow Internet connections. This didn't seemed good to Google, being the God of the internet they want all there users to have the best internet experience thus they launched an online service called Google Weblight.
According to Google, the Weblight service would provide 4 times faster view, 80% less data usage and 50% more page views. the weblight service was launched in Indonesia and is now avaialable in several other countries including India.

Google webmasters also uploaded a video comparing the loading time difference between the two versions of the site.
Google adsense works on itthus if you are web developer you don't need to worry about your income sources, however analytics doesn't loads to save space.
I currently live in India so to test it i turned off my Wifi did a 2g data test on my smartphone.
Google search page and results worked well sites which might be slow to load where shown with a caution and overall it was a better experience.
